Classmate’s Tragic Death Puts Things in Perspective
I logged into facebook last night to find my highschool friends coming out en masse to mourn the loss of a highschool classmate who died in an accident on Sunday night. I don't know if you've ever seen a funeral as an event in your facebook feed—I hope you never do. It's hard to get your mind around something like this. It's a startling reminder of how fragile life really is—that ultimately, life's too short to carry on doing something you're not passionate about.

My best friend’s dad chose to end his life recently. It’s been over a month and I still don’t know how to talk about it.
I’ve had high school friends that I haven’t spoken to in some time pass, but that didn’t hit me the same as when it is someone you have seen recently and were expecting to see on a regular basis in the future…
Not to negate from the tragedy of an unexpected death…
Agreed on life’s too short, live it up, but don’t let this current economic shitter consume you. If you’re down…talk to someone.

I’ve seen it…twice. Once as we were seniors in high school; once for a girl a few years younger than me who was halfway through college. It’s surreal.

Earlier this year my close friend passed away in an accident while at college. I grew up with him and we went to the same schools. It really is hard for my even now to grasp that he is gone.
I have recently begun to come to peace with the whole situation and hope everyone can realize that “Life is Beautiful.”
