As for the books and notes, I'd bet they still use those methods to some extent, since they aren't technically allowed to have their phones at school (although, I'm sure this doesn't stop everyone). But I think I still have some of my old 7th grade notes somewhere. It's harder to hang on to a text message. It’s junior high now.
