Many senior practitioners lack basic design skills/understanding, so it&#039;s in an intern&#039;s best interest to understand the principles of design. In doing so, their work can catch the eye of supervisors and can also be an asset with client projects needing that extra aesthetic touch.</description>

		<description>These are some really great tips -- thanks for sharing. I would add that it&#039;s important to take some time to learn your new work environment. Many of us come from informal college jobs and the values there will probably be very different at the new job. Be conservative for some time to learn and apply these new values.</description>
